TUSEB TTO Information and Project Evaluation Event was held at Hitit University.


“TUSEB TTO Information and Project Evaluation Event”, organized in cooperation with Hitit University Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and the Presidency of Turkish Health Institutes (TUSEB) Technology Transfer Office, was held on Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Technology Center Seydi Mebet Conference Hall. The event aimed to introduce TUSEB's vision, working model and project support processes, as well as to evaluate the health-oriented projects carried out within the university.

The opening speech of the event was delivered by Hitit University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Nurcan Baykam. In her speech, Baykam emphasized that Hitit University, which specializes in the field of Machinery and Manufacturing Technologies, attaches great importance to projects and studies for the health sector, which is among its mission focuses. She stated that the university continues to support projects that produce added value in the field of health with an interdisciplinary approach.

In the first session of the program, TUSEB TTO AŞ Manager Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeliha Özdemir Köken made a presentation titled “The Role of TUSEB TTO in the Producing Health Model”. Following this, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aziz Küçük, Head of Health Industries Indigenization and Project Development Department, gave information about TUSEB's efforts to indigenize health products. In the last presentation of the session, TUSEB Project Specialist Yağmur Gültekin gave detailed information on TUSEB project application and evaluation processes.

In the second session, which started after the break, presentations of the projects carried out by Hitit University academicians were made. In this context, Prof. Dr. Faruk Gökmeşe, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Kanca, Prof. Dr. Gülay Yılmazel, Assoc. Dr. Duygu Tutan, Assoc. Dr. Ünsal Savcı and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Meryem Yalçınkaya shared their projects with the participants. Following the presentations, B2B meetings were held between academics and TUSEB officials, providing detailed evaluation and consultation on the projects.

Within the scope of the event, the team consisting of TUSEB and Hitit University TTO officials had the opportunity to visit the infrastructure and laboratories of the Technology Center and examine the project prototypes on site. For the six projects presented, road maps were discussed for directing some of them to TUSEB project application processes, and some of them to be commercialized and subject to entrepreneurship activities through TTO. In addition, entrepreneurship applications were discussed in order to support the commercialization of MITAM output projects.

The event ended with important outputs that will contribute to strengthening university-public cooperation and supporting innovative projects in the field of health.
